Track Town CrossFit
Let the CrossFit Adventure Begin!
At Track Town CrossFit we want you to be successful and have fun. In order to ensure that you gain the most out of our classes and knowledge, we need to know about your current fitness level. To do that, we’ll start by walking you through a skills evaluation.
Track Town CrossFit Skills Evaluation
Before joining the Track Town CrossFit community each person will be evaluated on their current fitness level by one of our trainers. Don’t worry…this is not a test! This is to ensure proper exercise technique and give you the best possible experience for your CrossFit adventure. The skills evaluation also acts as an introduction to the CrossFit world of exercise equipment, types of exercise movements, and the Track Town staff. The evaluation is simple, informative, and fun. A CrossFit Level 1 Trainer will instruct you on some common exercises that you'll see in a Workout of the Day (WOD). After the evaluation, a CrossFit trainer will explain what classes are best for you and why; you’ll either start WOD classes or CrossFit Fundamentals classes. The first three weeks of a new routine are always the hardest and we want to make sure you have the tools to succeed from the get go.
Call (541) 514-9980 or contact us via email with questions or to set up your skills evaluation.
Nutrition is essential to your overall health and performance in the gym.... and your life! We give every member a downloadable copy of the Whole 9 Nutritional Guide. This guide is an eating style based on whole and natural foods (no boxes or additives here!) to help guide you into a healthier you. A CrossFit trainer will give you an introduction to Whole 9 including meal plans, recipes, and when to eat. We are always available and more than happy to give nutritional guidance and support to our members. After all, "You are what you eat", right?
CrossFit Fundamentals Class
The CrossFit Fundamentals Course is a one-month, 12 session course focused on introducing you to the fundamentals of CrossFit. You will learn exercise technique, nutrition, and have the opportunity to ask questions about anything CrossFit! The number of participants in this class is limited so you get personalized instruction on technique. During each class, one of our CrossFit trainers will go over 2-3 exercises and teach you the key components of specific elements. After learning the basics of these exercises you will perform a short workout so that you can put into practice your new skills. Our staff at Track Town CrossFit believes that results are dependent on proper biomechanics and training. We will help you develop awareness of your body so that you know how to move correctly and safely. After completing the one-month CrossFit Fundamentals Class, you will have the tools, knowledge, and mindset to take part in the WOD classes.
Workout of the Day (WOD) Classes
WOD classes are group sessions where a Track Town CrossFit trainer demonstrates a group warm-up and will go over exercise technique and any other components of the WOD. We encourage questions if you are unsure of anything. There is no such thing as a stupid question.....so feel free to ask! Twice a week after the warm up you will have the option of either extending your Olympic Lifting skills or taking part in the regular class. Either way, all exercises will be demonstrated and explained to you prior to the clock counting down, then it’s 3-2-1 GO! At Track Town CrossFit, we understand everybody is different in their strengths and weaknesses so each class can be scaled to varying persons abilities.
Track Town CrossFit Yoga is designed to work on each athletes flexibility, balance, calisthenic strength. This is not your traditional yoga.....our yoga instructor is a CrossFit athlete and Massage Therapist and has designed this session to compliment your CrossFit journey. If you have a particular part of your body that you want to increase flexibility then this can be incorporated into the session.
There are three open gym sessions a day. During this time it is a chance for you to come work on any weak points, learn a new skill or just practice your Olympic lifting technique. You can also do the workout of the day if you want, however, there are no group classes run during this time. There will always be at least one CrossFit Level 1 Trainer available to help you during this time if needed.
